The National Water Supply and Sanitation Council (NWASCO) has suspended the operating licence for Chambeshi Water and Sewerage Company, the provider of water supply and sanitation services to Northern and Muchinga provinces.
Stakeholders in the water sector in Zambia converged in Lusaka on the 13th of December 2012 to deliberate on ‘benchmarking’ as a tool for performance improvement in the provision of water supply and sanitation services.
Four, out of the Eleven Water Utilities have demanded for an economic tariff if they are to improve and sustain water supply and sanitation service provision to acceptable levels.
